Matt Target scored in the 94th minute to give Aston Villa a 2-1 victory over Brighton. At Villa Park, the hosts came to a complete reversal after their lead in the 21st minute with a hit by Adam Webster. At the end of the first half, Jack Greilish was able to even out.

Graham Potter`s team started off great and created several goal opportunities before finding the result. A foul by Gross was scored by Webster for a 0-1 lead. A home run was canceled after a SAR review and Aaron Moy received a second yellow card in the 35th minute, leaving Brighton with 10.

The numerical advantage allowed Villa to take the initiative, and Grillish was at the root of the turnaround. The midfielder leveled seconds before the break after centering Gilbert. Greilish also assisted for the winning goal at the very end of the match when he took out Target.
