Liverpool ended their 4-game losing streak in the Premier League after beating Sheffield United 2-0 away to Bramble Lane in the 26th round. The Merseysiders this time firmly imposed their will, and could have won even more convincingly if not for the brilliant interventions of the home goalkeeper Aaron Rumsdale. However, the guests achieved their goal and recorded the expected success with a goal by Curtis Jones in the 48th minute and an own goal by Keane Brian in the 64th minute.

Two minutes later, Sadio Mane was brought behind the defense and sent the ball into the net, but the goal was not counted due to an ambush.
In the 55th minute, Alexander-Arnold advanced and shot, but past the door after the ball bounced into a defender, although this went unnoticed by the referee.
The best opportunity for the hosts came in the 58th minute. McBurney got a great cross and shot with his head up close, but could not find the outline of the door.
