Former University of Connecticut (1986-2012) head coach Jim Calhoun believes that point guard Kemba Walker will soon sign a new contract with the NBA team after being expelled from Detroit.


When he shows up in the locker room, your team gets better. He is an amazing person, a true leader. He led us to 11 consecutive victories and the title of champion. Kemba can still help some of the teams. I sincerely believe in it. He`s already been on screenings for two teams and is likely to get a contract, " Calhoun said.


Walker played for Connecticut from 2008 to 2011. In the 2010/11 season, the team became the NCAA champion.
