Defender Harry Maguire has been cited as an example of unreliability in the Ghanaian Parliament.


Isaac Adongo, who represents an opposition party called the National Democratic Congress, compared Ghana`s Vice President Mahamudou Bavumia to the Manchester United and England footballer.


In England there was a football player named Maguire, who played for Manchester United.


He is a protector. He took away the ball from everyone, entered into martial arts. And he was considered the best defender in the world. Manchester United decided to buy him.


And Maguire, playing in the center of defense, became the biggest threat to Manchester United. He deprived the ball of Manchester United players, gave passes to opponents.


Mr speaker, even when opponents can`t score on their own, Maguire does it for them. And you must remember that in this country we have our own Maguire in the economy.


Mr. Speaker, when we gave our Maguire a place in the center of the defense, he became a threat to our own goal, " Adongo said.
